About

I am a clinical psychologist licensed in California with a therapy practice in San Francisco's Mission District. I also spend time each year working remotely from the Philippines and other countries in Southeast Asia. I am in my fifties, mestiza Fil-Am with Pangansinan roots, raised in Echo Park's Filipino community in Central LA and residing for the past 30 years in SF.

Eclectic, relational and inclusive in my approach, I have expertise in trancework, mindfulness, parts work, somatics, attachment, as well as emotionally-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. I tend to work with intersectional folks of overlapping identities within any of the following: gender, sexual & relational diversity; ethnic diversity; neurodiversity.
A founding member of Bay Area Open Minds, therapists allied with ethical non-monogamy and kink.

I am a published author with an ACT self-help book, a doctoral dissertation on smartphone addiction, as well as a personal memoir and other creative writings. I also mentor BIPOC graduate students via the California Psychological Association Research Committee, and was a subject matter expert on the state licensing exam for psychologists. Honored to have served the Indigenous community at the Native American Health Center in Oakland as part of my graduate training, I subsequently studied shamanism through a BIPOC woman-led healing center and have some knowledge of Baybaylan heritage (with a desire to learn more!). I am a non-denominational spiritual seeker with 20+ years experience as a meditator (primarily Vipassana, currently learning Kriya Yoga meditation), with training in spiritually-integrated psychotherapy which utilizes the client's own beliefs to promote wellness and growth. As a therapist, I work experientially and multidimensionally, compassionately collaborating with clients to co-create a field of consciousness where healing and expansion can take place.
